- I have used Fasttracker 2.05 on the PC. In fact, that's what my music
- partner uses with his Ultrasound Max. He's a pretty happy customer.
- As for me, I want a card that:
- -outputs in 16-bits
- -supports direct-to-disk sample recording and editing
- -supports MIDI (though I can't afford to work with that yet)
- -mixes in more than 16 bits (for minimal quality loss)
- -compatible with FastTracker and Octamed s/s
- -excellent mid-range, top-end, and B-a-s-s
- -Wavetable couldn't hurt (though it's not necessary)
- -On-board DSP (or at least the option for one)
-
- I think that's about it. As for the type of music I write, it varies:
- techno, piano tracks, rave, jungle, atmospheric, jazz etc. That's probably
- why I want a fairly versatile card. Any ideas which card (under $2000) is the
- one for me? Thanx.
